Gremlins 2 - The New Batch

Gremlins 2 - The New Batch
Billy and Kate have survived their first encounter with the gremlins and are now living together in New York City and working at Clamp Tower. Unbeknownst to them, Doctor Catheter, who works in the building’s lab, has come into possession of Mogwai, Gizmo. Although Billy rescues his old friend, chaos soon ensues when Gremlins get loose inside the skyscraper. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching “Gremlins 2 – The New Batch”.

· Daniel Clamp is walking through the office where Billy is working. In the wider view of Daniel when he says, “I’m going to be more hands on”, he walks toward the desk where two men are standing. One man extends his hand for a handshake. It cuts to a close-up view and a woman is now standing behind the desk.

· Gizmo falls down the air duct. In the overhead view, Gizmo hits the concrete floor and has “Gremlin Goo” on the white fur of his stomach. In the close-up view of Gizmo when he sits up, the goo is gone.

· Billy is in the restricted area when Daffy attacks the guard. The wider view of the guard trying to shake him off shows the guard’s hat falls off his head. It cuts to a close-up and the hat is back on the guard’s head.

· Microwave Marge is cooking in the kitchen. There is a large pot on the stove that she pours sherry into. She then proceeds to pour the rest of the sherry in her glass. Marge places the green sherry bottle to the left of the pot and walks away before noticing the lights. She walks back toward the pot, before she lifts the lid, and the bottle is on the opposite side, to the right. It’s back on the left side when she grabs the baking pan to deflect the food being thrown at her during the Gremlin attack. A few moments later, Marge grabs the bottle and runs. In the close-up of Daffy in the pot, the bottle is shown still sitting next to it. But, when Marge runs up to Kate, she’s holding the bottle in her right hand.

“Gremlins 2 – The New Batch” (1990) stars Zach Galligan, Phoebe Cates, John Glover, Robert Prosky, Robert Picardo and Christopher Lee. It runs 106 minutes and is rated PG-13 for violence and gore, and frightening and intense scenes.
